AWS Artifact

AWS Artifact is a no-cost, on-demand service that provides customers with access to AWS security and compliance reports, as well as select online agreements. It serves as a central resource for managing your compliance needs and understanding AWS's security posture.
Core Benefits
AWS Artifact helps organizations manage compliance at scale, saving time with immediate, on-demand access to critical compliance reports. This direct access allows customers to deploy their workloads with greater confidence, knowing they have the necessary documentation to satisfy auditors and regulators.
Use Cases
- Managing Select Online Agreements: Review, accept, and manage various agreements with AWS for individual accounts or across an AWS Organizations structure.
- Assessing Third-Party Security and Compliance: Access AWS compliance reports to understand and demonstrate that AWS meets a variety of global, regional, and industry-specific security standards and regulations, which can then be provided to your own auditors or regulators.
Types of AWS Artifact
AWS Artifact Agreements
AWS Artifact Agreements allows your company to review, accept, and manage various agreements with AWS, which may be required for specific uses of information or services. This is particularly useful for customers subject to specific regulations, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), where special data handling agreements are necessary. Agreements can be managed for an individual AWS account or centrally for all accounts within an AWS Organizations structure.
AWS Artifact Reports
AWS Artifact Reports provides direct access to compliance reports from third-party auditors. These reports serve as evidence that these auditors have rigorously tested and verified AWS's adherence to a wide range of global, regional, and industry-specific security standards and regulations. AWS Artifact ensures these reports are consistently up-to-date with the latest releases, enabling customers to easily provide these audit artifacts to their own auditors or regulators, demonstrating their shared compliance responsibilities with AWS.
AWS Artifact simplifies the often-complex process of demonstrating compliance by centralizing access to vital security reports and managing legal agreements with AWS, empowering customers to meet their regulatory obligations with ease.
Use case: Ideal for compliance officers, security teams, auditors, and legal departments who need to access AWS compliance certifications, audit reports, and legal agreements to meet regulatory requirements and demonstrate security posture.
